Comfort Inn & Suites Rocklin - Roseville

The coffee was the letdown for me. Breakfast downstairs was decent, but I wish more hotels would take good coffee seriously and get a proper espresso machine. We had a pleasant night otherwise, and the suite had enough room to move around and keep our bags.

The rooms were clean, and the woman handling breakfast was genuinely sweet. But I wouldn't come back because the front desk interaction at check-in was so unpleasant. I had to give the desk clerk my phone number four times because she wasn't listening, and she was snappy and rude. That was poor customer service.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was included with plenty of choices. It was kept stocked and looked after. The hotel is comfortable and sits close to the interstate and Sierra College, with lots of places to eat and shop nearby.

The hotel itself is fantastic, and every receptionist apart from Ebony has been great. But my repeated check-ins with her have all gone badly. She ignores requests and stays on her phone, so even getting through a basic interaction feels like work. Some coworkers have told me they've had similar experiences. We pay a bit more because the service and the rest of the place make it worthwhile. That feels shaky when one employee makes me feel insignificant from the moment I arrive. First impressions matter, and Ebony is the reason people describe the staff as rude.
