The inn’s warm, unfussy rooms made it easy to feel at home. Everything was spotless and well cared for, from the guest rooms to the shared spaces, and the beds were comfortable enough for quiet, restful nights. My husband and I came for a winter getaway, and the peaceful feel of Rockport gave us just the chance to slow down and reconnect that we needed. We could walk to the harbor, Motif #1, coffee shops, and local boutiques in minutes. It also worked well as a base for drives to other coastal towns, scenic places, and downtowns around the North of Boston region. The welcoming hosts and classic New England charm made the stay feel romantic and relaxing.

We came with friends for a birthday weekend, and this was a lovely spot for the group. The Crow’s Nest was cozy, with a beautiful view over Rockport and the ocean. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the best hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. Dinner was only a few minutes away on foot. Addison Choate felt like a quiet getaway in a picture-perfect New England town, and we’d definitely come back.

Being able to reach the harbor and downtown on foot was a big plus for me as a photographer. I could get to the water in just a few minutes. The Crow’s Nest, on the third floor, had amazing harbor views and plenty of room, with a king bed, sitting area, mini fridge, and a gorgeous marble bathroom. It was spotless and beautifully decorated. I met one of the owners, Marshall, who was friendly, welcoming, and quick to respond. The little extras were thoughtful too: water, tea, coffee pods, candies, robes, and streaming services. The sherpa-lined blanket from the local shop Denim Blanket Co was so good that I ended up buying one of my own. And that bed was unbelievably comfortable. I spent a couple of hours lounging in it in the middle of the day. I stayed over Valentine’s Day weekend and would happily return to Addison Choate for another cozy coastal getaway.

Marshall sent us a personal welcome video before our Valentine’s Day stay, which made us feel looked after right away. The Carriage House was private, charming, and beautifully appointed, and our room was spotless when we arrived. There was champagne and chocolate-covered pretzels from a local chocolate shop waiting for us. Everything felt carefully considered, from the comfort and ambiance to the location and cleanliness. Marshall clearly takes pride in hosting. It was a perfect experience from start to finish, and a place to stay if you want to feel genuinely cared for.

I was in the Crow’s Nest, a bright room with lots of natural light and fun decor. It had two TVs in separate areas, a coffee maker, and a welcome basket with water, tea, coffee, and other treats. And the beds are so comfortable. The rooms all have their own look, and the common areas are just as thoughtfully put together. You can tell Courtney and Marshall have put their hearts into making the place welcoming. It was clean, had great amenities, and was in a convenient location. My first visit definitely won’t be my last, thanks for a perfect winter retreat!
