Eagle House Motel

Our standard room had two beds and was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was tight, with just one sink shared between it and the kitchenette outside. The campus-size fridge didn’t get very cold. Still, we’d recommend Eagle House Motel and will certainly call on them again.

The location made it easy to explore Rockport, with ocean views, local restaurants, and the charming Bear Skin Neck just a short walk away. That historic area has eclectic shops and a friendly, artsy feel. The owners were exceptionally helpful, with good suggestions for things to see and do, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Our room was small, but very clean and well maintained, just right for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The Eagle House is a great base for enjoying the coast, or simply having a peaceful retreat.

We’ve stayed here several times and now it’s the only place we’ll choose, after trying the other nearby spots. It’s tucked down a side street, but Main Street, Bearskin Neck, and Front Beach are an easy, short walk away. We’ve actually found Eagle’s parking better than the other motels in town. The owner is friendly and always helpful. There’s a pretty outdoor sitting area with tables, a sink, plates, cups, utensils, and a coffee pot. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I definitely recommend it.

I never needed to get in my car. The concert I was attending was around the corner, and town, the harbor, and the beach were all an easy walk. They let me leave the car until 1pm, which made the visit perfect. The room was simple but cozy, with a really comfortable bed and all the amenities. There’s a microwave, fridge, TV with Netflix, and a stylish shower. Off season, coffee lovers like me might want to bring a little Keurig so it’s ready before you’ve gotten too far from bed.
