Harbour Inn

The location is great, the room was clean when I arrived, and the shower water got extremely hot. I might come back and request a different room because of the location. I tried room #104, which needs some updating. Its kitchenette was unused and a complete waste of space. I mentioned to the manager that the shower curtain rod needs replacing, the toilet paper holder was just a hole in the wall, and the hair dryer was hanging loose instead of secured to the wall. The bathroom itself is very small. The microwave was badly rusted and needs replacing, and the sink light fixture was missing both a bulb and its glass shade. The parking lot is very small too. The office is tiny and unattended, so you have to call a number to get service. My friends' room, without a kitchenette, had a friendlier layout and was updated. Travelers shouldn't expect 5 star service from a motel. You can expect more from a hotel when you're paying more, though everyone's opinions vary.

The location near the beach area is great, and this works if all you need is somewhere to crash. Getting a room meant calling a number and waiting for someone to arrive. The room was clean enough, I suppose, though it could've been worse. The TV barely worked, the furniture was rusty, and the bed had just three pillows and a thin throw type blanket. They didn't clean the room during our stay, and apparently you only get fresh towels if you ask.

The location is amazing for walking around. We cross the street to fish, have a park where we can walk the dogs, and several shops are within walking distance. I highly recommend PetWants for anyone with fur babies! No one is ever in the office, but the woman who works here has been very sweet and helped us with everything. The rooms are nice and clean enough. My only complaints are the toilet paper holder, which is just a hole in the wall so we use the back of the toilet, and shower tile that's falling out. It's sticky tile with no grout, so water is getting behind it. The price is very reasonable for what it is, and I'd recommend it for a budget friendly hotel.

The staff are kind, and the place is clean. For the location and what it costs, it's hard to find a better deal. This is where I usually stay in Rockport.
