We made a last-minute trip and had no trouble getting a reservation. The place was easy to find, and the staff were so helpful with ideas for places to visit and eat. My husband said it was the best room he'd ever stayed in.

We had booked two nights for a family wedding on September 12 and 13, but my father died and was buried on September 12, so we couldn't attend the wedding. Delta Airlines gave me trip credit, and Alamo canceled my car rental without charging us. Island View Inn charged us for both nights. I think that was a terrible business decision. It may be a lovely place on the Maine coast, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. The management showed no compassion.

The grounds, pool, and surrounding area were peaceful and picturesque, and the road location made it easy to get around the community. Our room was clean and charming, with a beautiful view, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. It was our first visit, but we'll definitely return.

We've been here a couple of times and keep coming back to the comfortable feel of the rooms. They don't feel like standard hotel rooms. The rooms have been clean and tidy, and the location is great, with a lovely view, the main road nearby, and all kinds of dining and shopping close by. I highly recommend it.

We stayed for one night and loved the harbor view from our deck. The room was large, very comfortable, and impeccably clean, with lots of thoughtful amenities. What a lovely spot. We'd definitely stay again.
