OYO Hotel Rockport- Bay View

We appreciated being accommodated at short notice, and the staff were helpful and quick to respond. The location was beautiful. The room could have been cleaner, though, and the heater apparently switched itself off. We couldn't get it going again, but we were leaving early in the morning, so it wasn't a problem.

The front desk lady was so nice, and to be completely honest, the beds were really comfortable. But the place did not look like the pictures. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the TV didn't work, there was no Wi-Fi, and the fridge wasn't working.

The room was in awful shape, and the Expedia photos didn't match what we found. There were roaches and needles, the toilets only flushed if you reached into the tank, and the tub wouldn't drain. The beds were broken and one was held together with duct tape. The AC blew black stuff onto us, the coffee pot had mold, and the poolside poles weren't safe to touch. The whole stay was a bad experience, and the woman wouldn't budge on refunding my money.

I won't be coming back. Across the three rooms we rented, the showers were poorly cleaned, and in mine the shower nozzle was nearly falling off the wall and water flooded out while I used it. One room's window AC barely worked, and the other air conditioning wasn't working well either. There were small cockroaches, so I shook everything outside before bringing it into my house to make sure none were in my clothes. Old light fixtures were rusty, with a bulb out in both the bathroom light and ceiling fan. It was the worst place I've ever rented, and badly needs renovation or to be torn down.
