Rockport Harbor Hotel

The staff were wonderful, kind, and went above and beyond while we rearranged our Maine vacation several times because of an illness in the family. They were thoughtful and accommodating each time we needed to change our plans, and I can't thank them enough. Their kindness even made me decide to extend or upgrade the room whenever we rescheduled. The hotel design is immaculate, and waking up to the harbor view from our room was one of the best starts to a day I've had. I'm an amateur photographer and tried to capture the view from the Atrium suite in the attached photos. My wife and I will definitely return, hopefully for a much longer stay.

The staff here are so caring and friendly, and this place could teach other hotels a thing or two about hospitality. Our family suite was so comfortable that I felt completely spoiled during our two-night stay. It had a kitchen, two terraces, two bathrooms, a lovely living room, a double fireplace, and the coziest cloud of a bed. We didn't want for anything. The dining room feels cozy while still giving you privacy, and we enjoyed a fabulous breakfast, cocktails, and dinner. Rockport Harbor Hotel is warm, clean, and gorgeous. I'd love to come back.

Room 11, with its balcony overlooking the harbor, was the highlight of our two-week family road trip along the Maine coast. It was everything I’d pictured Maine to be. I’d wanted to visit ever since doing a fifth-grade history project on the state, and now, in my 40s, life finally gave me the chance.

The setting is lovely, with beautiful decor and a relaxed atmosphere, and I really wanted to love this high-end boutique hotel restaurant. But the service and food didn't live up to that first impression. We waited hours for both drinks and food. The drinks were very light when they finally came, and the food was disappointing and not cooked properly. Our waitress was kind and gave us a 20% discount, though she also offered a string of excuses that didn't improve the experience. For an upscale place, the timing and quality fell short. The setting has a lot of potential, and I hope they sort out these problems.
