This Inn feels like a home away from home, with clean rooms and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. John & Tobey are wonderful, warm, accommodating people, and the scones and omelets were great. I loved it so much when I stayed with friends last November that I brought my family back for a long weekend in April. It's a good home base for Salem or Boston. I highly recommend the Linden Tree Inn.

John even drove me to a dentist when I needed emergency treatment. That kindness says a lot about our week with him and Tobey. They welcomed us wonderfully, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was comfortable and had every convenience. We enjoyed sharing an Anglo/American home and the company of our hosts. I can thoroughly recommend the inn to anyone staying nearby, and we can't wait to return.

We stayed two nights in late September and loved how close everything was. We walked everywhere, including to a beautiful little beach, and didn't use the car once. There are lots of galleries and restaurants nearby. The owners are delightful and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom spotlessly clean, and the made-to-order breakfast delicious. The Linden Tree Inn is an absolute treasure. Thoroughly recommended, and we'll definitely return!

We had a great overnight stay at the Linden Tree Inn. The owners and staff were generous and knew the area well, and parking was plentiful. Our comfortable, well-kept room had really nice decor, and it was a short walk to lots of attractions. They cooked us a fresh breakfast with eggs and French press coffee. I'd stay here again.

Tobey and John were so thoughtful about making breakfast work for us as vegans, and that made every stay feel like being with family. We’ve been coming to the Linden Tree Inn year after year for Rockport trips. The room is roomy, and breakfast is always great.
