The owners were very cordial, and the second-floor front balcony had a view toward the saltwater bay with a pleasant breeze. In the room we had a microwave, mini-fridge, small coffee maker, built-in hair dryer, and a table with two chairs. The shower got very hot and had good pressure. The bed was firm, which I like, though firmer than some people mean by firm. My wife prefers a softer hybrid mattress, and this one had no pillow top or memory foam topper. Very clean and comfortable, and probably my best motel stay on such short notice.

For a budget vacation, this place worked perfectly. It's simple, clean, reasonably priced, close to the beach, and run by a welcoming, friendly family. There was a mini-fridge in the room, and HEB was five minutes away. We found free parking just outside the pay gates by getting to the beach early or after 6:00 pm, then walked past the bathrooms and showers to find a nice patch of sand. I'd go in shoulder season, especially after Labor Day.

Terrific location, clean room, and an amazing motel. The owners were so kind and willing to go above and beyond to help however they could. Couldn't ask for more!

The pool and room were clean, the staff friendly, and the beds comfortable. Great location and a great place to stay.

At the Village Inn, we found clean rooms, comfy beds, and especially soft pillows. The owner was friendly and quick to help when we forgot our room key. It's near the beach, food spots, local thrift stores, and some good fishing spots. We enjoyed staying here and will definitely come again.
