Best Western Mill River Manor

We ended up staying here for over a week after initially planning just a few days in the area. We had also checked Air BnBs within 10 miles for a longer stay, and the price here was hard to beat compared with the other nearby hotels. The location in the heart of Rockville Centre is handy, with lots of restaurants close by and the train a two-minute walk away. Linda and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was comfortable, the TV was a good size, breakfast was included, and there was a decent gym.

Staff were consistently kind and courteous, and the location made it easy to get around. The train station is right across the street, with restaurants and stores within walking distance. Free breakfast and parking also help make the nightly rate feel more reasonable. We stayed three nights. The room was clean and everything worked, though the beds are firm, which might be tough if you prefer a softer mattress. There were people walking around outside and random sirens, so it wasn't a quiet stay, but that was expected. The building has had renovations in recent years, but it's still an older motel with rooms accessed only from outside, and the rate felt a bit high for that. Best Western Mill River Manor did what we needed. It may not impress, but it worked as a place to sleep that didn't feel incredibly sketchy. I'd put it at about 3.25 stars.

Linda was so kind when we checked in and let us get into our room a few hours early. She also made sure we had everything we needed. This was our third stay at the BW here, and we'll definitely come back again. The rooms have always been clean and very quiet when we've stayed. There's a good security presence at night, and the hotel is right in the middle of everything. Thanks, Linda!

Traveling with my basketball team, 16 of us, was easy because everyone was so helpful. Linda was AMAZING and SO organized when we arrived. There are lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and we all really enjoyed the stay.
