Homewood Suites by Hilton Rockville-Gaithersburg

We had a quiet two bedroom suite with plenty of room to spread out, overlooking trees on the back side of the hotel. We stayed for four months while our house was being renovated, and the staff made it feel like home. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, always smiling, and we got to know the front desk team and many other staff members. Our dog was spoiled with attention and will miss it. We enjoyed breakfast each day and the fun Wednesday evening receptions. The $1 laundry in the basement was convenient and cheap, and there was a nearby park where we could walk the dog and charge our car.

I left very happy with our stay and would keep this hotel among my go to places in the area. The service was outstanding, and everyone was kind. Our clean, comfortable room helped make the visit a great one. The room style is a little dated, though, and the bedroom TV was dark with a line across the middle.

Bright, cheerful lighting made the rooms feel welcoming, and the whole place was modern, clean, and attractive. This is the best Homewood Suites we’ve stayed at. Staff throughout were friendly and professional, including the lovely breakfast team.

The staff were helpful and nice, but I had to switch rooms because the first one smelled like a dog kennel. The second was less strong, though it still had an unpleasant odor I couldn’t figure out. There were big dogs around, so the hotel is VERY pet friendly. Unfortunately, I also saw mice in the lobby.
