I stayed alone at this True by Hilton from September 3 to 13. I booked two queen beds so I wouldn’t need room service, and I kept the do not disturb sign on the door because I didn’t want anyone entering. If I ever chose room service, I would put certain items away. On my ninth night, I came back and saw someone had been in my room. The beds were made and towels changed, but it hadn’t really been cleaned, and the do not disturb sign was still on the door. I felt violated and uneasy. Since I was alone in a city I didn’t know, I was anxious about complaining and wondered if I might be targeted. I waited until checkout to tell the hotel. I asked for a manager, and the front desk woman said she was one and would look into it. I also wrote to corporate. On October 12, they said they’d passed my complaint to the hotel manager and that I should hear back within three days. Nobody contacted me. I emailed corporate again to say I still hadn’t heard from anyone. This was an unacceptable invasion of my privacy, and I’m very disappointed. I stay at Hilton hotels often.

I booked through HILTON as a HILTON HONORS member for the night of 12/31 into 1/1 and paid in full. I chose my room in the app, but it had an obnoxious noise coming from the AC, which I recorded. At the desk they made me switch to a lower-level room that wasn’t clean. When I pulled back the sheets, there was all kinds of head hair throughout the bed. I asked for bedding and MADE MY OWN BED. I stayed the night anyway. In the morning, gnats were all over EVERYTHING at breakfast. The guests were more than ratchet, and the staff were too. Some people were nice, but most were loud and rude. After checkout I called to ask for compensation and got bounced around for weeks. Each time I was told I’d get a call. Eventually I spoke with JOSH, who basically called me a liar because no one had noted my calls. 0/10, DO NOT STAY HERE!

I stayed one night after carousing at the Harbor haha. My experience was pleasant. The front staff were nice, the hotel was clean and smelled fresh, the beds were pretty good for a hotel, the AC worked fine, and the bathroom was nice for this level of place. I’ve seen plenty of one- and two-star reviews, so I can see how it might be poorly run at times. The hotel is what it is, and I don’t mean that badly. If you want perfection, high-end furniture, and fancy accommodations, go to the Ritz or 4 seasons.

The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re comfortable and nice. What made the week for me was how friendly and kind the employees were, especially the early-morning ladies. When you’re away from your family for work, running into cheerful people can lift your spirits a bit.
