The bathrooms were the main drawback for us. The space is a bit cramped even for one person, and two people trying to move around in the morning would find it tight. The rooms are carved out of what used to be one large open area, giving the place an eclectic feel, and the room earned only four stars from me for that bathroom issue. The rest was lovely: it's quiet and clean, with a wonderful lake view, and the common area is comfortable for relaxing with friends. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit at the end of the day, the friendly, helpful staff, and a fantastic breakfast.

We hadn't booked anything before arriving in Rogers City. After walking around, we happened on the Purple Martin by chance. We called the number on the sign at 5:30 on Friday, and Bonnie arrived 15 minutes later to check us in. The setting is fabulous, and we didn't even get to see a third of what they have. The beach is within walking distance, and there were lots of lake boats steaming around. Bonnie cooked a delicious breakfast. We'll be back soon!

We stayed in August 2025 and had an awesome experience. The owner picked up when we called at 8:30 pm, met us herself, and settled us into a beautiful lodge. It's one of the oldest buildings in Rogers City. Highly recommend.

A last-minute gem: a quiet, funky, serene, eclectic hideaway by the lake. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and show great hospitality. I'm already looking forward to my next stay!

The location is superb, and the rooms are warm, cozy, comfortable, and private. We couldn't have been happier with our stay, especially the excellent breakfast. Kim, Bonnie, and the rest of the team were amazing. Best place to stay!
