Candlewood Suites Rogers / Bentonville by IHG

I wouldn't recommend this place. In Room 163, the room was run down and everything felt old, stained, and in need of an update. The bed was uncomfortable and had lint and other debris on it. The recliner, bedding, and tub were stained, the bathroom sink was cracked, and the backsplash had stains. There were cockroaches too, I saw three during my stay. They also tried to charge me twice, so I had to show them my receipt.

I come to Rogers two or three times a month for work and usually stay at the spark by Hilton. It has no fancy amenities, but it's clean and fine for a reasonable price. I thought Candlewood suites would be an upgrade, but I was wrong. I won't stay there again. I booked two rooms, and neither was clean. One had dirty towels and someone else's clothes in the closet, and the beds had impressions from someone sitting on them. The other had toilet paper pieces on the floor, hair in the tub, and water around the toilet and sink. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty, and the kitchen drawers and cabinets were left open. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The pictures are from two different rooms, so it wasn't just one bad room. I took a video but couldn't post it here. The photos came from it and show used towels, someone else's clothes, bed impressions, and part of an elevator floor.

What was meant to be a romantic anniversary getaway for two turned into a disaster. Everything looked great when we arrived, but after a nice evening we came back to find two little roaches in the kitchenette and another one swimming in the toilet. I managed to get a picture of the one in the toilet, but not the kitchen ones. Such a disappointment.

The room was nice and had amenities, but it smelled strongly of urine. We checked into Room 300, and I wanted to switch, but my husband was too tired. We were out all day and only came back to sleep, so we put up with it, but the smell was so bad we couldn't even enjoy a meal in the room. It's pet-friendly; I'd suggest requesting a pet-free room. There was also what looked like a blood spot on the carpet, which felt unsanitary. I'd only stay again if I could get a pet-free room.
