The breakfast was a letdown: tiny prepackaged items were left open, with one small microwave to heat them. There weren’t any waffles, despite what other reviews suggested, and the room markup wasn’t worth it. I’ve stayed at Motel 6 for half the price and had a better experience. The room had several safety and cleanliness problems. The toilet seat was loose, the tub spout wasn’t secured, and the shower control didn’t clearly mark hot and cold. The shower head couldn’t be adjusted, the fridge had no temperature controls, and there was hair on the door. After the night clerk took my card for an undisclosed “deposit,” fraudulent charges appeared on it five hours later. It had been out of my hand only that one time in months.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the area felt safe. It’s an old Best Western, so some things are dated and it isn’t fancy. The spa was closed, and there was a damp, old hotel room smell. Still, for the price, you can’t beat it.

The front desk staff paid attention to what I needed and were accommodating. I had a pleasant, hassle-free 3-night stay, with a clean, well-sanitized room and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was good, and I’d definitely stay again.

Don’t expect this “Inn” to improve before it’s converted. This Best Western seems doomed, with a Burbank Housing spot and funding apparently already a done deal. The $28.7 million for 70 apartments works out to $410,000 each, around the price of local 1,000 sq ft condos.

They took my laptop and said they’d send it back if I paid for UPS shipping. Now they’ve changed their number or blocked me. Don’t come here, they’ll take your stuff, and they walk into the room without knocking.
