Quality Inn Historic Route 66

The staff were friendly enough, and the breakfast was about what you'd expect. The bathroom had no fan, and the carpet was so sticky it turned the bottoms of my socks black. My husband didn't like the beds, though we liked the pillows. For the price, I expected better, but it got the job done.

UPDATE: The desk clerk told me on the phone that they run the card for incidentals and process it as a “service fee.” I spend half the year at your properties, so you don't need to explain how it works. This wasn't a pending hold. My folio and credit card statement both show a completed charge, not a hold. You are taking money from customers, so yes, I call that fraud. I included the statement showing the posted charge after you called me a liar. The so-called incidental hold was only a dollar, but it cleared and they kept it. I've never had a hotel pocket an incidental charge as normal practice.

The King room I stayed in at Q Inn yesterday was dirty: there was hair in the bathroom and on the bed, and the oven was dirty too. I hope management improves the hygiene for future guests. That single star felt wasted.

The price was reasonable, and getting to this Quality Inn from the highway was easy. Service was good, with quick, professional responses. I'd stay again.
