Regency Inn

I wouldn't recommend this motel. The owner lets cleaning staff enter guests' rooms and take pictures of whatever is there, which I see as a serious invasion of privacy and a violation of your rights. They don't seem to have control over the staff. This place used to be great, but it isn't anymore.

The cockroach was what finally made us leave. We'd been there less than half an hour, and after finding it in room 37 we had to get out. They gave us a full refund without a hassle, and we ended up at a much nicer hotel across the street. We first tried room 36 last week, on 8/9/24. It looked like the previous guests had barely been cleaned up after, and the card reader didn't work, so the front desk person had to let us in every time. The smoke detector had been ripped out, the air conditioner was barely attached to the wall, and there was more wrong besides. I said it wasn't going to work and asked for another room. They “upgraded” us to 37, which was a little better but still not much cleaner. There was dust everywhere and almost no toilet paper. I do not recommend staying here. They have roaches.

We stayed on a Saturday night and found the room quiet and clean, with extra towels. The shower was hot, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. The price was exceptional for that night. I highly recommend the place. Complaints seem to miss what the price comes with.

The beds were clean and comfortable, the AC was cold, and there were blue collar workers around. Still, seeing a woman passed out and unresponsive in a truck outside our room, along with several people “smoking” outdoors, left us unsure about the place. It sits somewhere between “maybe I shouldn't stay here” and “it'll be fine.” Not terrible for a quick sleep before getting back on the road.
