Teresa and the other staff were so pleasant and attentive to guest comfort. We stayed overnight at the end of December to visit family, and despite the biting wind and 19-degree weather outside, the heater kept the room toasty. It was clean, with very comfortable beds, warm comforters, and an extra blanket available. The room had a cozy cabin-like feel, and the famous Beaverkill River ran right past the windows. We could have fished from the room, if we fished. We’ll stay again on our next trip to Roscoe. A note for seniors or anyone with mobility problems, just as a heads-up: there’s a step into the room, like at many places, but this one was much higher than usual. Severe leg or knee trouble could make it hard to get in. We bring a step riser for situations like this.

The proprietor is friendly, and so is her big dog. At the time of our stay in September 2025, pets were welcome for $10 each. I wish I’d brought our kittens! The place feels straight out of the 1950s, a real vintage experience, but it was comfortable and had a microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, and a shower rather than a tub.

The overnight staff gave us helpful tips for coffee and food, and the places they suggested were good. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and I really like that pets are welcome. The Roscoe motel was very clean, including the bed and towels. I’ll definitely be back.

The Beaver Kill river runs right behind the rooms, and you can step out to dip your toes in, swim, take a walk, or try fly fishing. The Roscoe Motel is a sweet place in a beautiful area, just a few minutes from Roscoe center and Livingston Manor, with plenty of nice little places to visit and eat. I spent Memorial Day weekend there and found it relaxed and welcoming. It’s a simple, clean, comfortable roadside motel, like a little piece of classic Americana that’s been thoughtfully kept up and updated. The nightly rate is great for what you get, and I’ll stay again on future upstate getaways. It’s a special spot.
