Roscoe is a cozy little town with friendly people and some great shops and spots. At The Yarra, our room, the “grey room,” and its bathroom were clean and comfortable, with thoughtful extras that made it feel homey. I especially appreciated the cotton pads after forgetting to bring my own. The owners were warm and attentive, and the house itself is cute and inviting. This was my husband’s and my first B&B, and we loved it. Breakfast was generous and delicious: homemade egg bites and muffins made by the owner, along with other fresh, quality food, including locally made bagels. The old house isn’t soundproof, but the guests were considerate and quiet. If you’re sensitive to noise, earplugs might help, since once people start getting up, the creaking floors can wake you.

We started New Year’s morning in a peaceful, serene way, with a continental breakfast that had everything we wanted: egg bites, bagels, coffee, yogurt, granola, fresh blueberries, and more. The NYE menu and wines were delicious too. Our King room at The Yarra had mountain views, and the bedding was the most comfortable I’ve ever had at a bed and breakfast.

The self-serve continental breakfast in the beautiful kitchen was a lovely touch, especially the French butter. I skipped dinner, but whatever they were cooking smelled incredible. The interiors are thoughtfully done, with two small dining areas and cozy chairs downstairs. My room was spacious and stylish, and the bathroom had plenty of nice products. I’d certainly stay here again.

Sonya, the owner, was so lovely and welcoming, and our room was just right, stylish and cozy. My friend and I stayed at The Yarra for a Mom’s Trip, and its location worked well for both of us. It was my first bed and breakfast, and I can’t wait to return. Dinner was incredibly delicious. Thanks for the best 24-hour mom getaway!

A great four-season getaway, and convenient to the city. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the shared space is cozy, and both breakfast and supper club were delicious.
