Del Mar Motel

The shower got nice and hot, and housekeeping worked hard and did their best. But the tub was filthy and damaged, and there was mold and rust everywhere, with dirty sheets burned by cigarettes and old rusty faucets. When it rained, water leaked into the room and soaked the floor, which explains the mold. The room at least kept us sheltered from outside, but there was far too much wrong to list. The area felt kind of shady. Someone banged on my door twice, and the staff weren’t very helpful. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend the place.

This place sucked. There were cockroaches, graffiti in the rooms, stains on every lampshade, and a strong chemical smell. The Wi-Fi never worked, the AC units leaked, and only some had buckets underneath. Lightbulbs were missing, toilet paper was stuffed in the peepholes, and the deadbolt was broken, apparently from a previous kick-in. Smoke detectors were missing too. The place was disgusting. Those good reviews are either lies or way out of date. NEVER STAY HERE!!!

The front desk service was horrible, and I was so uncomfortable that I left at 3 a.m. The bed cover had cigarette burns, while the furniture was stained, damaged, and marked with graffiti. The sink knob was broken. From my room I could see badly stained sheets and pillows in a blue bin by the trash cans. Don’t stay here, even for the price. There’s a Motel 6 on Rosemead less than 10 minutes away.

The food was delicious, the rooms were very nice, and the bed was really comfortable. You’re polite and kind, and the service is so good that I want to come back. Don’t listen to those people, they’re out of their minds and don’t know what they’re talking about. You know who you are: you have a five-star hotel and everybody loved it.
