On Mondays, worship in the Chapel runs from 6:30 to 7 p.m., followed by group time from 7 to 8:30. The support groups meet each Monday evening to share experiences and hopes, and to celebrate God’s healing power through worship, fellowship, small group interaction, and prayer. The group aims to offer a safe place, not clinical advice or an attempt to “fix” anyone. The leaders aren’t counselors; they’re followers of Jesus who have also gone through growth and healing and feel called to encourage and support others. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements, and what’s shared in the group stays there.

There’s breakfast in the mornings, but it’s a bad choice for a long stay. Laundry costs $10 or more per load, there’s no ATM on site, and the staff aren’t helpful. The rooms smell like old carpet.

The calm atmosphere and parking were big pluses for us. My family and I all liked our stay. It was clean, cozy, and well maintained.

Daniel was awesome and helpful, and the area felt safe with convenient freeway access. Breakfast was excellent for a Marriott. Parking was tight, and you have to drive to eat unless McDonald’s works for you. Check the picture captions for some details. Very good stay overall, and I’d consider coming back.

The staff were awesome, and the place was clean, which was the biggest perk for me. I’d give it five stars if the air conditioning weren’t so loud. Ten dollars a day for parking seems pretty steep.
