Motel 6 Rosemead, CA - Los Angeles

I go to California often and usually like motel 6 for the quick availability, good prices, and nice rooms. This visit was awful, and I’ve never left a bad review before. I arrived on 10/11/25 and checked in 20 minutes before 3pm. The woman at the desk barely greeted me, asked for my ID, then stayed silent for five minutes before handing me a key. There was no explanation of where the room was. While I was taking my bags from the car, three men came up asking for jumper cables, food, water, and money. I declined and apologized, but they kept making sexual remarks. I was alone, out of state, and worried because they now knew my car and room. I put my bags back and went to the desk, shaking, to ask for another room. A different employee, Agrid (idk how to spell it), was rude and said feeling uncomfortable wasn’t a reason to move me. She refused to let me speak to a manager or give me their name. When I asked if I could wait for a room change, she said no, that she wouldn’t get in trouble for changing it just because I was uncomfortable. She also said corporate wouldn’t care or do anything if I contacted them. I went back out to unload, and the men kept staring. Later they walked past my upstairs window several times. The room was dirty too: the floors hadn’t been mopped, and my socks and feet turned pitch black. There were roaches going under the vanity and a cemetery of dead bugs in the hallway light fixture. The only things I liked were the location and that the pool was still open. I didn’t feel welcomed, heard, or cared about as a guest.
