There was no shampoo in the bathroom, just a small bar of soap. The room also had no blanket in winter, only one sheet, and when I opened it I could see stains inside. I asked the front desk for a blanket, but they only offered a space heater. I barely slept because the AC buzzed constantly and blew air right at me, which was very uncomfortable.
The room had a strange odor, though the location was okay. The sheets were covered in stains and pieces of hair. When I asked the front desk to replace them, they argued that the cleaning lady had just changed them. The front desk woman eventually came with fresh sheets, but those were dirty too.
I used to like coming here with my boyfriend, but our last visit was horrible. I asked the woman whether the sheets would be changed and the room sterilized, and she said it would be. As I walked by, though, I heard her tell the cleaning lady to clean later, then she told me the room was ready. A man had just turned in his key while I was checking in, and they gave me that same room. I thought they’d change the sheets and sterilize it, but they only changed the towels. The room and sheets smelled like the previous guest and were dirty. What kind of service is this? Is it so hard to change the sheets and clean the room? I guess money matters more than making the room presentable for guests. I wouldn’t recommend coming here at all.
The front desk guy tried to unlock my door with his keys while I was fresh out of the shower and not dressed. I was only 10 minutes late checking out. The room itself was filthy: the towels, bedding, and bathroom all seemed unclean, and there was a terrible odor. The hotel was rundown and outdated, and the stay wasn’t worth it.
For the price, this was a good option, and I’d probably pick it again if I needed a hotel in the area. I stayed alone for five nights in a one-bed room. It was a decent size, with a good-sized working minifridge, a heater and AC I didn’t try, lots of outlets, and plenty of lighting choices. One light flickered after turning on. The blinds were nicely adjustable, and there were two medium-large mirrors, one over the sink and one by the bed. That second mirror was an odd design choice. Some floorboards creaked, and the bed creaked too. It was on the firm side, and the pillows could have been much better. The bathrooms were clean, but you had to time the shower to get hot water. A few towels had marks that looked like soap or bleach, and the sheets had ordinary-looking spots, maybe from a coffee spill. The blanket was thin and itchy, which I really disliked. You could hear neighbors if they dropped something or sneezed, and of course people walking outside along the balcony where the room doors are lined up. Regular talking and TV weren’t noticeable to me. The TV wasn’t great, not a smart TV and no Chromecast, and I couldn’t find a menu option on the remote either. My main complaint was the connection. Free WiFi didn’t reach very far on the second floor, and phone reception was garbage, though better than the WiFi. Staff were very friendly and helpful, which improved the stay, though they do ask for a $20 cash deposit. The location was fantastic: a strip mall with CVS and Starbucks is across the street, two bus stops are less than five minutes away on foot, and there’s a good-sized parking lot. Traffic noise is typical for the area. There’s also a vending machine and microwave.
