I was hoping the front desk could help with the ants, but the response was basically just “spray,” and she seemed completely uninterested. I only asked because I’d seen more than five crawling around the bathroom and kitchen floors. The rooms are dated, which I could live with if they were cleaner. The hallways smelled musty, and the rooms were dirty too.

I’ve never stayed there, since I live in the apartments nearby. But when I walk my dog at night, I often see people acting strangely around the hotel, and there have been robberies lately. Keep your kids with you, especially between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., and stay safe.

I’ve been coming here twice a year for business, though after this stay I might reconsider. I was there for six nights and got room service only once, after asking on day four. They said they had just three housekeepers, but I wasn’t getting a discount for that. After working 10-11 hour days, I don’t want to have to clean my own room. The room itself wasn’t up to par and needed a better clean. There was something on the walls and restroom door that looked like blood. I was fairly disappointed this time.

After a long evening dealing with a delayed and then canceled flight, plus airline customer service, we finally got to the hotel. There was just one family ahead of us, but we still waited 20 minutes to check in. The rooms felt dated, and the bathroom had mildew. For an airport hotel, serving breakfast later on weekends may save money, but it ignores what many travelers need and when they need it.
