Holiday Inn Express & Suites Belle Vernon by IHG

Marsha made breakfast feel like a warm start to the day. She was so sweet with my grandchildren, and kind, friendly, and professional with everyone. You can see how hard she works to serve so many guests while keeping a smile and a positive attitude. That kind of care is rare, and she made our stay more special. She's a real asset to the Holiday Inn Express in Belle Vernon, PA, and deserves a raise for the great job she does every day. Thank you, Marsha!

The warm pool was a treat, especially for an athletic person like me. I wish every HIE hotel kept it at that temperature. Katlyn was cheerful, courteous, communicative, and helpful getting me in. Check-in was easy, and I was happy with the service. A few things in the room and around the property could be better. The AC fan wouldn't run on high, the bathroom fan is passive, and the shower is extremely slippery, which is a hazard for my roommate, who has a handicap. Maybe there's some residue on it. The back door is wonky and wouldn't let me in, even though I need to park there because I'm towing a trailer. I'm glad the hand soap isn't fixed to the wall, since I like it better than the shower soap. It also seems like people booking through third-party vendors are getting caught up in conflicting IHG reservations, which puts extra stress on the employees.

We were happy with every part of our stay on this second visit. The coffee was good, and there were no unpleasant smells, including smoke or mold. Everything looked so clean, from the faucets with no water stains to the spotless shower curtain, and there wasn't visible dust in the room. Jamie was very kind and friendly when helping us, and the rest of the staff made us feel welcome too.

I couldn't keep my reservation for the weekend of 4/17-4/19, so I called Holiday Inn and spoke with Clarence. He was courteous, polite, and patient while I searched for my confirmation number. He also appreciated that I called three days ahead, giving them time to offer my two rooms to someone else. I hope I get to meet him on one of my stays later this year. He's a great asset to the hotel.
