Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlottesville - Ruckersville by IHG

I wish the front desk had given me a straight answer about when my room would be ready. At 1:22 pm, the guy there said the hotel had been sold out the previous night and a room would be available in 30 minutes. I came back 50 minutes later with all my suitcases, and only after hauling everything out of the car was told I wouldn’t have a room before 3 pm. That left me waiting almost another hour in the lobby, or putting my things back and going elsewhere for coffee. Why not tell me the truth right away so I could plan my time? I don’t know why they lied. There were six employees sitting around, and it seemed hard to believe they couldn’t get a room cleaned. I have a picture as proof for management.

The room was very nice and the staff were friendly and quick to help. It had the king bed and pullout couch we needed for two adults and two teens. We did have to ask for sheets for the folding bed since there weren’t any extras in the closet, but they brought them over quickly.

I was here for my company’s work trip this past week, in room 310, and left with bed bug bites all over my legs and back. Please be aware. I thought I’d checked the bed carefully enough, but clearly I hadn’t.

Everyone else was great, especially the front desk staff, who were helpful and accommodating. My stay was otherwise amazing, but the driver Sam was rude and disrespectful. He was meant to pick us up at our location, but when we came outside, the van was gone. We went back in to call for it again. When we came out, Sam was there, but he argued with us for almost the whole ride, saying he’d been waiting the entire time when he hadn’t.
