High Country Lodge

For the price, these little cabins are such a cute, cozy place to stay, and ours was clean and comfortable. There's a lake across the street with a hiking trail and disc golf course. A big game room has a really nice deck where you can barbecue. The cabins sit along the side of a mountain, so there's hiking nearby, and the baseball field and winter park are just around the corner. Ruidoso is a quick drive back down the hill if you need anything. Highly recommend!

We spent one night in #29 with our family of four, and it worked out perfectly. There are two rooms, one king and one queen, with comfy beds and good pillows. The couch was comfortable too, and the TV was a decent size. The private porch had plenty of seats. We saw deer and elk, and it's pet friendly. There's also a washer and dryer on site. The newer fridge and microwave and new stove were in good shape, and the shower had great pressure. We caught fish at the lake and cooked them there. The best part was the customer service. I left my wallet behind and didn't realize until I was almost home, four hours away. I called, and they shipped it out that very same day. You can't beat that kind of honesty and service.

Cozy, great cabin for my family. The owner was really nice, and we'll definitely make this our go-to place.

It was a quiet spot, just a short drive from everything, and we had a nice stay. We were there for two nights on a little family fishing trip. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean, and my kids loved the fireplace. We also enjoyed the free bundle of wood. We'll be back.
