Shadow Mountain Lodge and Cabins

We got caught here during a huge snow and ice storm. The power was out for a few hours, but the room stayed warm and cozy. El was on duty and answered every call promptly, always smiling, even though she’d barely slept while making sure everyone was looked after. The place is close to town and had what we needed. We’ll be back! I loved the place. The rooms are a little more rustic than I usually like, but the staff made the stay five star.

We booked a cabin at the last minute for one night, and the manager was very pleasant. It was peaceful, very clean, and absolutely delightful. The country cabin decor, covered porch, two-sided gas fireplace, and two-person jacuzzi made it feel especially lovely. They even had extra lap blankets for chilly evenings on the porch. The small kitchen had a two-burner stove, a good-sized small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven. There were plenty of towels and washcloths, too. The property also has a lodge with BBQ grills and a fire pit. They’ve done an amazing job, and I’d definitely return.

The rooms have a nice little kitchen with all the cooking utensils you need, plus a big jet tub. It’s a beautiful, quiet place, and the patio is lovely for sitting out at night. They offer great service, have a laundry area, and provide extra supplies. I’d recommend it and stay again.

The cabin was adorable and decorated so cute, with everything supplied to make you comfortable. It’s in a quiet part of upper Ruidoso, very close to Inn of the Mountain God's. I’m so pleased with the place and highly recommend Shadow Mountain Lodge for a Ruidoso stay.
