The bathroom was far from the room, as other people have mentioned, and although it was large, it was cluttered with items and a laundry area. The bed creaked badly and was very uncomfortable, and there were flies everywhere. The people I spoke with weren't very accommodating. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The Kawanhee Inn has sourced from No View Farm for years. The chefs I've worked with in the past agree with me: the herbs are out of this world, and the produce is the best. I tried the pickled products, and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the Dilly Tomatoes, pickled beets, and pepper jam.

I love this place and have family nearby. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the girl working that night was very sweet. There's a cute little store with preserves, bread, and other things. I expected the shared bathroom to bother me, but it really didn't.

The bathroom is shared and isn't beside your bedroom. You have to walk through the house behind the kitchen to get to it. That's important to know. Still, what a charming, unexpected place. It feels like home, and the people are very nice.

The view is absolutely beautiful, and the price for a stay is great. The owner was extremely friendly, and I had an excellent visit. Staying overnight is a bit like a hotel, with a few rooms and a shared shower and bathroom. There's also tons to shop for if you're just passing through. Strongly recommend stopping by for a unique Maine experience!
