Next time, we’ll book a room without a unit above it. Most of the property seems to have one, and the people up there are so loud, like elephants overhead. We didn’t use the pool, though it was warm in winter. The place was clean, smelled good, and had a lovely feel. Service and management were as good as they get.

The comforter and sheets were old-looking and musty. The renovated room itself was decent, but overall this place is one to avoid. The dogs who live there bark at every little thing and every person walking by, setting each other off. I love dogs, but these ones make it noisy and inconsiderate, and the place doesn’t feel peaceful. On top of that, there was a planned 12-hour overnight power outage in town. Guests should be told before booking, since there was no power, heat, fireplace, or hot water, and the hot tub was cold. Definitely not worth $160 when the services I paid for were shut down.

The room was decent, but the little dogs barking ruined our stay. We checked in Sunday for a few nights, and the staff were really friendly. I noticed two small Yorkies, but didn’t think much of it. My German Shepherd ignored them, but they barked at us. They seemed to be out excessively, and the room where they stayed was across from ours. The dogs went off whenever I tried to leave or other people walked by. Their owner, who I think was an employee, wouldn’t bring them in until 9 or 10 at night. My kids couldn’t get proper rest. I didn’t complain because I wasn’t sure if the owner would get salty. I wouldn’t recommend this for light sleepers or anyone looking to relax. The people responsible for the dogs weren’t considerate of guests.

The room looked attractive, but there were cleaning and management problems. There was something spilled on the floor between the microwave and bathroom, and the microwave still had food from the previous guests. We tried to shower three times, but the water was lukewarm at best. When I left around 9:30 a.m., I tried to raise these concerns with the manager. He wouldn’t come speak face to face, so I had to talk through a Ring speaker. I asked him to look at the mess, but he wouldn’t. All he said was that the housekeeper was overwhelmed. I didn’t even get an apology. Not good!
