Our room wasn’t ready when we walked in: the bed was unmade, the bathroom was dirty, and there was standing water in the tub. The front desk clerk was polite and moved us to another room. The weekend price was also unacceptable. I understand rates can fluctuate, but this increase wasn’t reasonable. It was price gouging at its finest. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The staff are what make this my favorite hotel in Ruston. Front desk employees know the property and the surrounding area, and their food and recreation suggestions have been great. Management has quickly and politely sorted out any issue I’ve had, and the sales team handled my questions with real expertise. Housekeepers have acknowledged mistakes and fixed things until I was satisfied. No hotel is perfect, but this one feels like a great choice for a trip or an event, and I always look forward to coming back because they make you feel like family.

I’d still recommend the hotel. The staff are great, and I know everyone has an off spell, but this time the air in my room wasn’t fixed during my second night either. That left me with two hot nights and barely any sleep. As a Diamond member I’m usually taken very good care of. I’m not trying to be greedy, but they gave me 500 points.

We brought our dogs and the staff were kind and accommodating. The hotel and room were very clean and smelled nice, and breakfast was wonderful with lots of options. I’d definitely come back.

After a 14-hour drive, Stacy at the front desk made our night with such a warm welcome. The next morning Cheryl and Sheila made a phenomenal breakfast. 10/10.
