The staff made this stay for me. I didn’t know how long I’d need to remain while waiting to hear from my son’s doctor, and they kindly let me extend one day at a time. I’d arrived exhausted after a night in the ER and a six-hour drive, following a medical emergency that sent my son six hours from home. I wasn’t expecting an early check-in, since other hotels have made us wait right up to the official time, but they gave me a room. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and as a woman traveling alone I felt safe there. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Highly recommend.

At 9:30 p.m. someone hit the wall hard enough to wake me, and by 10:30 a truck was still revving in the parking lot after starting up at 9:45. I called the receptionist, but the truck only moved about ten spaces away and kept making a lot of noise. There were kids screaming in the room next to mine, too. My company tried to arrange payment for the room, but the receptionist hung up on them six times over two days. I ended up paying myself. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I’ve stayed in South Sacramento hotels where drugs were clearly being sold, and even those people were quieter than this.

The bed was easily a 10/10 for comfort, soft like a Sleep Number, with plenty of layers to choose from. If your back needs a firm mattress, this might not suit you. My suite seemed clean, the thermostat worked perfectly, and I could get plenty of towels. The full-size shampoo and conditioner in the shower meant I didn’t have to ask for more. Water pressure was good, though not outstanding. I stayed several nights this month and made good use of the indoor pool and jacuzzi, which were never too crowded. The small gym was my favorite, with a rowing machine, weight stack, free weights, kettles, bench, bike, cable TV, and extra towels. I wished for a treadmill and more adjustment on the rower’s pull tension, but it was still great. Management seemed a bit odd, though I have no major complaint. There’s a full free hot breakfast. I skipped most of it because I had my own food, but did have a toasted English muffin. They also had sausage, eggs, waffles, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, and other toaster items. The coffee was acceptable and appreciated. The room seemed well insulated from road noise and my neighbors’ music, even though I could hear that music in the hall. Upstairs, the window opens slightly, enough to dry a bathing suit or air out the room after cooking something zesty in the microwave.

Lizette was amazing. Traveling with kids can be stressful, and I guess I looked it when I walked in. She made check-in quick and easy, and by the time I got back to the car I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The room was nice and clean, and the customer service was great.
