Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento

The food was delicious and looked lovely, and they serve it with Robert Welch silverware, the same kind I have at home. I'd come back for breakfast alone; it was fantastic.

I've stayed three times and it keeps impressing me. The service is a pleasure, the rooftop lounge is fun, and Seventh Street Standard is so good for both dinner and breakfast. For an event at the Golden One Center or anything downtown, the location is hard to beat: steps from Golen One and the rest of the cool downtown Sac spots, with an easy route to and from the freeway.

The location and service were both great, and the room was decent. Its wear is obvious, though, with lots of wall scrapes and dents. Also, the occupancy sensor didn't pick up movement well enough, so the lights kept switching off.

I was comfortable and liked the hotel, but the receptionist with the pink pixie cut was rude and unwelcoming. For someone working at the front desk, I expected a friendlier, more professional manner. It left me uncomfortable and almost regretting the stay, although a refund wasn't an option. We'd paid for breakfast in our reservation, but were told at the restaurant that we'd have to pay again. It seems we weren't given the right voucher. Frustrating, especially since the rest of the hotel experience was pleasant.
