For a business trip, the location was a real plus for getting to the State Capitol, and Vines Cafe was another bright spot. Jasmine at the front kiosk was lovely, friendly, and helpful on all three of my visits. The food was excellent and had good options for different diets. Divina, the Front Office Manager, also made checkout smooth and professional. The check-in, though, felt impersonal. The agent didn’t make eye contact or use my name, and tried to charge me $25 for a higher floor even though my colleague had received a preferred room earlier that day. My room felt generic, and the towels were small and worn. I was surprised a hotel of this caliber had no USB-C ports in 2026. The pool towel rack was empty in the morning, so I waited over five minutes for towels. Good cafe and a great spot, but the service at the front desk and room amenities could be more consistent. *generative AI was used to write this review

The Club Lounge patio on the 12th floor, with its wide views over the State Capitol, was a lovely place to spend the evening over cocktails and dessert. The pool and hot tub were great, too, and I liked having a lobby café, steakhouse, and well-equipped gym. Across 165 hotel nights in the past year, Hyatt Regency Sacramento lands in my top three. The staff were helpful and accountable from check-in through checkout, and the property sits right beside the Capitol. East Downtown shops and riverside dining are easy to reach on foot. A comfortable stay with strong service and a very walkable location.

We ate at both Amaranth and Vines, and the teams there were wonderful. Everywhere we went, people were kind and helpful and made us feel looked after. Hyatt Regency Sacramento must have found some good staff. I’d happily stay again. It’s close to the conference center, PAC, and lots of restaurants you can walk to.

Despite the busy area, it was surprisingly quiet at night. I liked the big windows and city views, and the room was clean and roomy, with a very comfortable bed and crisp linens. Check-in took a little longer than I expected, but the staff stayed courteous and professional. I’d consider coming back.

The lobby bar was a highlight for me: a good drink selection, and bartenders who were friendly and easy to talk with. Hotel staff from the front desk through housekeeping were warm and professional throughout our stay. As a Globalist member, I felt my status was recognized well. They gave us a generous upgrade to a spacious, well-appointed room with a nice view, which made the visit even more comfortable. The Club Lounge was a nice extra, with a satisfactory breakfast selection and attentive staff who kept it clean and stocked. Self-parking at $25 a night seemed fair for downtown, and the facility felt convenient and secure. I’d recommend Hyatt Regency Sacramento for its location, amenities, and service.
