The owner is renovating, and my room had just been redone. It was clean, with an okay bed and new fridge and microwave, and the nightly price was pretty good. Sure, the place is run down, but at that rate you can overlook some of the problems. I stay in plenty of hotels, new and old, and they all have faults. It's good to see some of these gems still going while average prices keep climbing. A lot of the concerns in other reviews have been addressed.

We paid only $36 a night and stayed two nights, and the hotel is close to Frankenmuth. It needs a lot of work and is run down, but the room was clean, the king bed comfortable, and the bathroom had hot water and was decent for the price. There was also a new fridge and microwave. That seemed worth it until the maid changed the towels but didn't clean or make the bed, and left our door open. It's a motel, so the door opens right onto the outdoor parking lot. Thankfully we'd taken our valuables with us, and no clothes or personal items were missing. The only response from the hotel was an apology. Cheap and clean, but unsafe.

It was very quiet, and the toilet flushed, the fridge and freezer worked. The room was okay, though I got the impression most guests were transient. Still, the building is falling apart. The headboards were very dusty, the room smelled bad, there was no ice bucket or in-room coffee, and I had to ask for hand towels. There were cobwebs, a spider, and awful carpet stains I don't want to think about.

The photos don't match what we found. The place was dirty and dated, with someone else's hair in the beds and dirty pillows and comforter. Only two bulbs in the room barely worked. We asked for our money back and got half the reservation refunded, which wasn't bad.

I liked absolutely nothing. The office reeked of mildew as soon as I walked in, and the room had the same smell. I could see mold on the walls and furniture. I wouldn't let my pets stay there.
