Four Points by Sheraton Salt Lake City Airport

It feels like being part of a family here, rather than just another guest. The bartenders and the breakfast and dinner restaurant staff are outstanding, and the front desk, room service attendants, custodian, and cooks are all attentive and happy to help. Rooms and room service are consistently good. There’s a nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and parking and entering the facilities are easy. A room key is needed to keep access limited to hotel guests. It’s 7 minutes from SLC Airport and 12 minutes from downtown SLC.

The staff are friendly and helpful, but the hotel’s condition has gone downhill, and this was my last stay. I’ve been here a few times for work and when flying out of Salt Lake airport. It feels dated and grimy, with a lot of things that need fixing. In my room, an outlet was pulling away from the wall, leaving the screws exposed to touch. The bathroom was dingy, stained, and just gross-looking. I was glad this time I only needed somewhere to sleep. There are better options at the same price, so go somewhere else.

The included breakfast is very good, and the bar and restaurant are convenient since there isn’t much else in the area. The gym is spacious, with several cardio machines and dumbbells up to 75lbs. The pool is closed for winter, but the hot tub and sauna are open. Staff are welcoming and professional, and service has been good. The rooms are average, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The south side is near the highway and gets a lot of road noise. My window had a blackout curtain but no privacy shade, so the room was either very dark or visible to guests at the adjacent hotel. I’ve stayed a couple of times and do recommend it.

I spent about a week here for business training with American Cruise Lines and felt right at home. The gym and jacuzzi were especially nice, and having a laundry room was a big plus. The shuttle runs 24 hours, and the location is a cheap Lyft ride from the capital. I’d highly recommend the Ensign peak trail for an unforgettable valley view. The front desk and breakfast staff were exceptional, and everyone showed real kindness and hospitality. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.
