Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Airport

Mr John got me checked in quickly and made me feel comfortable when I arrived late, around 0100. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was a great stay at the Radisson, and even though he was the only service man there, he did a great job.

The staff were friendly and the location was good, but management clearly isn't taking care of the building. Even with the door shut and locked, the bottom half had such a big gap that you could see between the room and the hallway. I had to put a towel over it, but could still hear people outside, and slept poorly. I'd pay another $30 for a different airport hotel and a better night's sleep.

My travel service got the dates wrong, so my reservation ended a day earlier than it should have. I assumed they'd extend it another night on the company card, but shortly after midnight staff barged into my room while I was asleep and demanded payment. They wouldn't take cash or my debit card, and wouldn't even let me sit in the lobby while I tried to sort it out. They were incredibly rude throughout. The rooms were dingy, and I doubt the bedding is washed properly. Unless you need to be by the airport, I wouldn't recommend this place.

The people were really nice, and the room had a good refrigerator and microwave with excellent water pressure. Still, the towels were falling apart and the room was dirty, though the sheets seemed okay. The pillows were bad, cold air came through the windows, and the heater made a loud noise whenever it turned on. Planes were loud too, and the area outside felt rough. You can't charge things to your room, since the bar, breakfast, and mini store are all separate. The sink and toilet are unusually low to the floor. This place is memorable, I'll give it that.
