Knights Inn San Angelo

There’s a fun little bar and lounge area tucked away from the street, and the rooms have keyless entry, so there’s only a door code to remember. The location is great, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and the rooms and extra amenities are great too. We didn’t try the pool, but I’d recommend checking it out.

I regret not taking more time to relax on the property, especially in the hot tub. The pool area is nicely set up. In the room, there was no carpet, just a hard floor, which was great. The bathroom was clean and updated, with a shower wand and the sink and vanity in a separate area. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the sheets felt fresh and crisp. A real gem for San Angelo.

The staff and owner have been welcoming, kind, and helpful. I’ve never had customer service like this. We’ve been here from October 19-November 28 after selling and moving out of our home, while waiting for our apartment to be ready. They kindly changed our room and extended our stay from Nov 19 to Nov 28. Breakfast is a very good continental spread each morning, and I like being able to eat peacefully. The pool area is quiet, and I enjoy working on my laptop in the shaded seating area. I do wish housekeeping could put the soiled towels and bedding in bins and wheel them around, at least on the first floor. Carrying enormous bundles in their arms creates a tripping hazard. So far, the main problems have been the fire alarm going off randomly 4 or 5 times, and some homeless guys screaming at each other during the full moon night at the beginning of November. There were also extremely noisy guests above and beside us on November 10th. I know hotels can’t predict when people will act a little crazy.

I stopped in for a rest during a cross-state drive and was glad I chose the Angoria. The place is clean, modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, with more of a European boutique feel than a small Texas motel. My room was very comfortable, with cozy bedding and modern finishes. It’s also a short walk to the town square, and San Angelo has a cool, unexpected vibe. Even arriving at 2 AM was easy. Contactless check-in took just minutes, with no hassle. The next morning, the staff I met were friendly and attentive, real Texas hospitality. There’s a fun bar, a relaxed 2nd-floor lounge, and a nice pool for unwinding. I’ll stay here again!
