Americas Best Value Inn AT&T Center

The room was dirty and smelled strongly of weed, and the TV didn’t work. We were told there’d be breakfast when we booked, but there wasn’t any. This place leaves a lot to be desired. It needs a deep clean.

Nothing about the stay really stood out. It’s a standard Texas motel. The beds were big and comfy with nice pillows, and there was a decent amount of furniture, including a desk and nightstand, plus a microwave. The fridge was missing some shelves. The bathroom had more issues: the toilet was wobbly and didn’t flush right, and the tub and shower showed wear, though the shower head was new. The outlets had sunk into the walls and were hard to use. The lobby stays locked, and the desk bell didn’t work, so someone had to go wake the clerk in their room. We waited 15 minutes in 95-degree heat for the clerk or owner.

The location is great, but service was very bad. The front desk person couldn’t find my reservation for 15 minutes and kept rudely telling me I’d done it wrong. They also charged a room deposit, which would be fine if it had come back. It’s been over a month and it still isn’t in my account. I’ve tried contacting them without luck, so be careful if you give them your credit card.

There’s a lot of drama at this place, and they don’t treat everybody the same, which is really messed up. The rooms are decent, though.
