For $50, I had no complaints and would come back. The sheets were clean, the bed was made nicely, and the mattress was good enough for a night’s sleep. The shower worked, as did the mini fridge and microwave, and there was even an ice machine. The owners seem to take pride in keeping the rooms clean and functional. Outside, the building is well maintained and has fresh paint. It’s an inexpensive motel that serves its purpose. Don’t expect a Hilton, just a decent place to spend the night.
I’ve never stayed at a worse hotel. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned, and orange stains covered the furniture. The windows popped out, and there were gunshots outside at night. They advertised “breakfast,” but never intended to provide it. The room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that I couldn’t breathe. The owner almost wouldn’t let us switch rooms. It felt like everything that could go wrong did. Read the reviews and stay away. I learned my lesson.
I stayed here for more than a month in total, and the weekly rate was extremely affordable. I paid $350 for a full week, taxes included. The rooms are clean, quiet, and feel safe. They’re small, and all you get is a fridge and microwave, but what else do you need for a weekly stay? The manager is professional and willing to work with you. He even let me wait until my paycheck came in, so I didn’t have to pay a late checkout fee. I was down on my luck and needed somewhere safe to sleep. This place was affordable enough that, with hard work, I managed to get an apartment down the street. I’m grateful to the manager and would give this hotel 100 stars if I could. I highly recommend it for a weekly stay. I hope this review gets noticed, because without this place I might have been homeless. God bless everyone. I’m being honest, and I don’t believe the negative reviews.
I’d give this negative five stars if I could. At check-in they demanded an extra $50 deposit, which wasn’t made clear when I booked. Management told bookings.com they lose money when someone books through a third party, because of the deposit. I don’t see how a deposit costs them money unless they plan to keep it. Why not say there’s a deposit before taking my payment? They also argued with me about the free cancellation policy listed on the website. Now my money is tied up for 7-12 business days. If the hotel had been upfront about the extra charge, I’d have been fine with it, but the whole thing felt scammy. They lost money on this booking, too, since I’d planned to stay three more nights. The customer service was horrible. 10/10 do not recommend.
The room wasn’t too bad, but there were loose screws on the inside of the door around the hinges, lock, and plate. My husband tightened them for security while the curtains were closed. The key card failed several times during our seven-night stay, including the last night. After I tried repeatedly, a staff member finally came to open the door. Then they said the lock had been tampered with and had basically fallen off with a nudge. After checkout, I got my deposit back, but later they charged my account, claiming my husband or I had tampered with the door. They said it was on camera, even after I reminded them we’d had lock trouble since check-in. Then they accused me of taking the ice bucket and plastic tray. Staff were rude, and signs at check-in said guests couldn’t have visitors. They still aren’t serving any kind of breakfast. I won’t stay there again. It’s not worth the hassle, especially with about four other hotels within a three-minute walk.
