Comfort Suites Alamo - Riverwalk

The beds were okay, but the room was dirty, with things left behind by previous guests and carpet coming up. After washing my hands with the soap and water, they felt really chalky. The staff were nice, but the hotel itself felt so unclean that I felt catfished. It’s near the city center, though there’s a small homeless population nearby, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around there. I’d only stay one night and leave early. I can’t recommend it to anyone wanting more than a place to crash.

Chloe made a big difference when I accidentally booked just one night. She helped me get an extra night and even offered a small discount. The hotel also changed my check-in time so I could surprise my fiancé in the room for his Air Force BMT graduation. The king suite was spacious, the bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the whole stay exceeded my expectations. I’d absolutely return.

The staff were very friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was nice. The lobby looked good, though the halls could use some refurbishing, and the room carpet and couch were quite stained. We could walk to the Riverwalk, but the area felt a little sketchy, especially at night, with many unhoused people camped next to the parking lot. Our room was noisy because it was close to the freeway. The pool didn’t seem heated as advertised.

We were in town for the busy Dia de los Muertos festival and wanted somewhere away from downtown traffic and crowds. This hotel worked well: it was quiet and easy to reach, yet close enough to walk to the Riverwalk and the other main places we planned to visit. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, and we appreciated being allowed to check in early. Staff were great from the moment we arrived. Breakfast is free and had eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels, coffee, and orange juice. We’d stay here again on our next trip to San Antonio.
