Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio SeaWorld - Westover Hills

The room was very nice and clean, though the bath towels felt old and rough, like sandpaper. Better quality towels would be nice, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. There’s breakfast and dinner service, a bar with happy hour drink specials, snacks and beverages for sale, a quiet lounge, a small work area, a fitness room, a pool, and banquet space for events. I didn’t get to photograph the fitness or pool areas. A Circle K is right next door if you’d rather walk over for snacks or drinks. Parking costs $10, and the lot isn’t gated. I did see security drive by on Saturday night, and there were mobile cameras on the property. This was my second time staying at a Marriott, and I was surprised by how much this one had.

Our daughter loves the room, especially the view of the pool, and we’re looking forward to our four-night stay. Everyone’s been genuinely kind, with excellent customer service. I’d read some negative reviews and was a little concerned, but so far it’s all been a great experience. We checked in after 4 PM and had to wait about 10 minutes because the room wasn’t ready. Liz and Chris at the front desk were very helpful, and they gave us dinner and breakfast at no charge for the inconvenience. The room and location are great, and check-in was smooth otherwise.

I’ve stayed at Courtyard Marriott hotels around the country for work, usually because they’re cheap and convenient. This one was the only location I’ve been to that didn’t clean rooms every day. On my latest trip, I stayed five days and my room was never cleaned. I’d look at other nearby options before booking here.

My friend was here on a company trip, and her first room had water damage and mold. She raised it with management, who moved her to another room and gave her a free meal ticket as an apology. The replacement room was nice and comfortable, though I was only visiting and can’t speak to the bed. We spent time at the hotel bar, where the bartender was very friendly and made the best Shirley Temple I’ve ever had. I’m glad I got to see my friend and that she had a good time hanging out at the bar.
