Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport by IHG

I stayed here before an early flight with my three little girls, then came back for another stay. The shuttle driver took such good care of us and made sure we were safely inside with all our belongings. When we returned, staff remembered us and asked about our trip to see family. They’re personable and kind, and the rooms are great, clean and quiet, with the simple things you need, a clean bed and bathroom. I can’t say enough about how lovely everyone was. I highly recommend it before a flight.

Flight problems stranded me in San Antonio, and I was sent to the Crown Plaza for the night. The room was great, breakfast was nice, and the service was phenomenal. Everyone helped make a stressful situation go smoothly. The shuttle drivers, who I think were Jason and Steve, were personable, and the front desk women were kind, including Patricia, the only name I caught. The restaurant worker I met was sweet too. Great staff all around.

One elevator was out, so getting up or down ten floors meant waiting around 10 minutes each time. Over four nights I had to change rooms three times: no hot water in the first, no air conditioning in the second, and a strong cigarette smell in the third. Management was dismissive about the complaints, took nothing seriously, and showed no professionalism. I’m not coming back and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. What seems cheap can end up costing a lot more.

The food was great, and the desk team and the whole experience were amazing, especially on my last night before flying home. I’d read reviews after booking and wondered what to expect. It may be an older place, but it was very clean, had no bad smells, and every team member I met was amazing. They made everything I asked for happen. Big shout-out to the guy who manages the shuttle, you made my stay excellent. And another shout-out to the guy at the counter. Thanks from Minneapolis!
