Econo Lodge Ingram Park

The room was somewhere in the middle, not great but nowhere near the worst. Manager Letty, though, treated me like a king and worked harder than almost any manager I’ve met. It’s a comfortable, affordable place worth considering. You won’t get the Ritz Carlton, but you can have a pleasant stay.

The room was filthy, and after I turned on the light I counted at least ten baby roaches crawling around. I checked out quickly and told the desk, but they did nothing, so I slept in my car that night. Before that, I’d found ashes in the sink and toilet, yellow dirty and smoky shower curtains, and pillows that smelled questionable. The mattress felt like concrete. I’m not picky, but that was too much. At the desk they required a $20 cash deposit or said they’d hold your driver’s license as collateral. They took mine. I’d also seen a woman walk her dog outside and let it defecate by the cars in the parking lot.

The staff were really nice, and the room didn’t smell bad. It was clean and had a microwave and TV, but there were cockroaches all over the room. They need pest control because you could see so many of those nasty bugs around.

We’d paid for two nights in advance, but left an hour after arriving. When we pulled back the covers to lie down, there was a large amount of blood in the middle of the sheet. The room was nasty and full of bugs, with ants crawling in the bed, and used soaps in the trash. People outside were walking around and smoking weed. There wasn’t even a phone in the room to call the office. The attendant just stared at us like we were crazy when we got him. He wouldn’t move us to another room, even though ours clearly hadn’t been cleaned, and only offered clean sheets for us to put on ourselves. The beds were hard as rocks, and there was no handicap accessibility. Terrible place. We have pictures to prove it.
