The staff were helpful and nice, and we enjoyed our stay. I asked for the bathtub to be cleaned the next day, but housekeeping didn’t touch it when they cleaned the room. It makes me wonder what else might be getting missed. Daily room cleaning and a properly cleaned tub would make this hotel better.

I was there for a BMT graduation. The staff I met were very friendly, and the parking lot seemed okay. I didn’t see anyone hanging around who shouldn’t have been. I left too early each morning to try the breakfast. The room had some real issues, though. It smelled musty, and there was a fairly large soft spot in the floor in front of one of the beds. The bathroom especially needs updating. The TV had a strange blue tint, but I wasn’t there much, so I put up with it. I turned off the AC, but still got extremely congested.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The SA Police Department told me this property has an ongoing smash-and-grab car burglary problem. They charge $5 for parking, apparently to pay for a guard and two security cameras. Seeing that effort initially made me feel better, but don’t be fooled. I said they should charge $10 and hire another guard for the back of the building. The desk attendant said it happens “everywhere” and questioned my request for a refund of the parking fee. All of this happened within three hours of checking in at 2 AM. I got no sleep. After asking for a late checkout, I still had to get up three hours earlier to file an insurance claim and find someone who could fix the damage that day. The $150 room turned into a $1,500 insurance claim. Luckily my deductible was lower, and nothing was taken from my vehicle. Police said they target guns and cash. This property did not feel safe or secure.

The pillows were really comfy, and at least the Wi-Fi was fast. But the pantry was overpriced, and the pool ran out of towels. I waited an hour after asking for more, then gave up and used towels from the room. Hopefully they’ll have fresh ones in the morning for my shower. Parking cost $5.40, a ridiculous extra fee when people need a car to get here. This isn’t the Ritz or downtown. If they need the money, they should include it in the booking price instead of nickel-and-diming guests.
