The front desk staff were very nice when I checked in and again when I checked out, and they offered me another room. I couldn't bring myself to try it after what I'd found in the first one. There was hair, eyelashes, and dirt on the first bed, and the fitted sheet on the second had stains that looked like urine and blood. I also saw what might have been chocolate or feces on the walls, dried ketchup or something similar on the floor, and a dirty shower curtain. My non-smoking room smelled of smoke too, though I tried to shrug that off after a long day. I asked for a refund, but wasn't allowed one, so I left to find another hotel.

The room had a cigarette smell even though it was booked as non-smoking, and there were stains on the beds, including a cigarette burn. The smoke detector had been removed from the wall, leaving wires exposed. My family has ASTHMA, and that made this especially upsetting. The front desk refused a full refund and charged a cleaning fee for a room that wasn't clean when we arrived. Staff were extremely rude when I tried to reach the manager about resolving the issue. They kept telling me to call back later, then stopped answering, even though they knew it was urgent. I now plan to involve my attorney. I felt like I needed a hazmat suit in that room, and I don't understand how this place is legally able to operate.

We stayed four nights, and the room was never cleaned. All the bedding had stains, and the only sign housekeeping had been there was three clean towels left on our cooler one day, still short of what our five booked guests needed. For a room that sleeps eight, we arrived to just two towels. The desk guy argued about giving us three more, and I had to push for them. We bought our own cleaning supplies and stayed away from the lobby and breakfast after that, and spent as little time in the hotel as possible. We didn't feel comfortable raising more problems after that exchange and seeing the cleaning supplies being used. We only stayed because it was a last-minute booking and we had no other options. The room floor was so dirty our feet and socks turned black within minutes. We saw the mop water in the walkway and bought a Swiffer. The sink and shower drained poorly, there was no shower plug, and the water was hot with no way to cool it. There was no exhaust fan in the toilet and shower area, and nowhere else to change. The elevator was filthy throughout our stay, and the entrance smelled terrible. Breakfast was sparse the first morning, just one piece of bread and some cereal. There was more on the other mornings, but the bread was stale and hard. One juice machine didn't work, and rotten liquid, maybe juice, sat in its bottom the whole time. Only one of the three ice machines worked, and our room keys stopped working several times.

We ended up finding somewhere else to stay, even though most places were already full, because the room was so bad and we were traveling with four kids. It was filthy and had roaches. The walls were dirty, the floor planks were damaged, the A/C panel and vent were filthy, and the fridge was covered in stains. The bathtub handle was broken and kept falling off, and we had to ask for more towels because there weren't enough for our family of seven. The condition made it look like housekeeping might not even be staffed. For families, this place adds stress you don't need.
