Q Lodging

There were roaches, the restroom was disgusting, and the sink barely worked. My visit was during spring break, and the photos need updating because they're not recent. The security lock was missing, and I waited forever for someone to check me in and out. The place was so filthy I left all my luggage outside the room. The whole experience was upsetting. I don't recommend staying here at all. This only gets a star because I had to give one.

We had to move rooms, and I had to carry the TV and microwave to the new one myself. One microwave nearly caught fire, the other didn't work, and neither room had light bulbs in any of the fixtures. The place was dirty and unswept, with live roaches. The toilet and shower didn't work, and the AC blew water from its vent. You have to go to a fake Red Roof Inn to check in, get towels, or get anything else. The Q-lodge office is never open, just a note directing you to Red Roof Inn. There's no maid service, and you have to walk over to get your own towels and coffee. A Red Roof Inn phone with no cord sat on the table. Red Roof Inn denies the San Antonio Lackland location exists. They say they sold it and shouldn't be using the name. Red Roof Swamp cooler?? HAHAHA. What a scheithole. I've stayed in many 3rd world countries, and this is the worst place I've ever stayed. My rating bottoms out at 2.5. This place should be removed from Booking, or they should at least be honest and lower the price.

After I moved the fridge, over 50 roaches scattered. When I reported them to Melissa Carter, who finally showed up around 5:30, she said, "this is south Texas. Theres gonna be roaches. Youre not moving rooms tonight and I cant guarantee there wont be roaches in another room". They gave us an empty can of flea spray for them. We were treated with real disrespect. My mother in law is disabled because of her hands and can't use stairs, but the manager still hasn't moved us downstairs, even though we explained the problem. Our TV has no sound, and we'd reported that on the second day. We're still waiting. The owner said, "i dont deal with Q Lodging. Talk to Melissa" when we told him she was the issue. We were first put upstairs despite asking for a downstairs room, and were told we'd get one. The next day they said one was being prepared, then about 30 minutes later told us to stay put and they'd return in the morning. By 10:30 the next morning no one had come. When we called, Melissa was rude and said she'd be in late because she never gets a day off. At about 1:30, still no one had come, so I called again. She said she'd get to the room when she did, and that I should be glad I had a room. I explained we were being kicked out of our previous home and had a time limit to move our things. She said it wasn't her problem. I've been here 3 days and have seen the manager only twice, for a few hours, despite her claim to work 18-20 hour days. At first she seemed nice, but that was a front. This is by far the worst motel I've stayed in.

A room here supposedly has daily Housekeeping, but you're lucky if they come twice a week. When the fridge broke, it took 4 days to get a phone call, and they threatened to stop renting to me again. The website says there's a pool, but the manager threw me out of it and said I should find another motel. My room was mysteriously robbed with no sign of forced entry, and the manager never returned my call, even though there's a camera above the door. Prostitutes, drug addicts, and drug dealers were everywhere, and people attempted to assault me. I could go on, but that would turn into a novel. This place will soon be condemned.
