Radisson Hill Country Resort & Spa

Our junior king balcony room was excellent, and we enjoyed the balcony. The toilet kept running during both nights, though. We didn’t report it, but it should be checked before the next guest. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the location was very good. We had Valentine’s Day dinner in the restaurant. The food was very good, and the bourbon selection beat the fancy local restaurant we’d visited the night before. Our server, Michael, was the highlight. He’s a class act who could work at any restaurant in town. Someone should give him a bonus. My wife has strong dog allergies, and we saw more dogs here than I’ve ever seen in a hotel, including two couples with three dogs each. Her allergies took a lot away from the stay. I wonder whether Hilton has rooms or other arrangements for guests with animal allergies. We’re Hilton Diamond members and stay at many Hilton properties, and likely always will, but after seeing so many animals here, we don’t think we’d return to this location. We’re visiting the Signa in San Antinio in late June and hope it has fewer animals or some non-animal rooms. Still, it was a nice stay, and I’d recommend this hotel to dog lovers or anyone without allergy issues.

The location was great for SeaWorld, and the different pool sizes worked well for our kids. The staff were great, but Dresden was our favorite. She was so sweet, made the best drinks, and even blew up our beach ball when the pump was too slow.

Dresden, the woman at the pool, was friendly and really helpful. She was kind to our young daughter and made her a delicious slushie. Everyone at the hotel has been kind and the service has been great. I’d recommend it for either a quick visit or a longer stay.

Ari, Hilary, and Davion made our family vacation at Hilton Hill Country memorable. We ate at The Spur Bar and Grill, where Hilary and Ari were helpful and accommodating, professional while still making it feel family friendly. They kept us laughing and smiling. Davion was our first impression at check-in and went out of his way to make the trip easier. We’d had car trouble on the way there, and I’m sure I looked exhausted. He was understanding and empathetic, and stepped in to take away whatever extra stress he could. Thank you, Ari, Hilary, and Davion. You made the vacation special.
