There’s plenty of paved truck parking right on the property, so stopping here seems like a reasonable choice. It’s a basic budget motel, but on both of my visits the room was clean and the linens were well kept.

There was hardly any room to move around, and the photos online don’t look like this motel at all. The blankets had holes, the towels had blood stains, and the bed mattresses were stained. I found bed bugs and roaches, too. The phone cord fell out when I tried to answer a call, the sink knob broke off, and the bathtub drained before it was even halfway full. The owners were very nosy and kept coming to our room to bother us. There were no fitted sheets on the bed. We stayed two days, and the room service was bad.

I’m an old timer who grew up in San Antonio and now lives in Houston. I’m not rich, just want a decent, comfortable, clean room in a nice place, and that’s what I got here. They’re honest folks. I’ll go to McDonalds for breakfast instead of looking around for things to complain about. Keep it simple, and you can leave clean, happy, and satisfied. Don’t screw it up.

The air conditioning worked really well, which I appreciated. The rest was frustrating: the room wasn’t clean, there were no pillows, and the shower head didn’t work right. I called the front desk to ask for a pillow, and they said they’d bring one, but it never came.
