We spent four months at the Texas Inn, and after a while it felt like home. The room was much more comfortable than you’d expect from its modest two-star rating, and it was a welcome place to come back to after a long day. The rates were amazing for a long stay, too. The people running the inn were wonderful throughout, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Their kindness made a real difference. I can’t recommend the place enough, whether you’re staying a night or for months. They do an outstanding job.

We stayed for a week, and the appliances in room 207 didn’t work: the TV, fridge, and microwave were all out. We had to move the fridge and microwave between the beds to reach a working outlet. The door also wouldn’t lock properly when we left during the last two days. Cleaning was only once a week for stays over two days, and we had to bring our own toilet paper, towels, soap, and blankets. They provided only one toilet paper roll and one hand soap instead of two. The ice machine and vending machine were broken too. They wouldn’t let us move to another room, except once downstairs, unless we paid for another week to move a third time. Room 106 downstairs smelled like weed, so we had no choice but to stay upstairs. I should’ve known something was wrong when we were the only guests there. I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are no refunds after you pay, and they require a $50 or $100 deposit in case of damage after you return the room. What a disappointment.

The AC gets cold fast, and the rooms are quiet. Nobody was making noise during a great stay.

The rooms were extremely clean, and the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and very nice, and the AC worked great.

It was $75 for the night, which wasn’t too bad. You get what you pay for. The TV had no remote and the sink was clogged. I’ve stayed in worse hotels, so I’d give it two stars.
